About Gretna Green School

Gretna Green School (GGS) is a vibrant school community with 356 students, where the spirit is truly alive and thriving. Our students and staff are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. The positive energy that flows throughout our halls is a reflection of the hard work, commitment, and collaboration between staff and students alike.

At GGS, we are incredibly proud of the way our students and staff work together to make our school a great place to be. From engaging activities to creating a welcoming atmosphere, everyone plays a role in fostering a sense of belonging and community. The dedication of our staff to students’ success and well-being is what truly sets our school apart.

One of the exciting initiatives at GGS is the GG Influencers, a group of middle school leaders who work to make our school more engaging for students. They organize fun events like dances and theme days, helping to bring the school together and ensure a lively atmosphere throughout the year.

We are also fortunate to have our own parent-run cafeteria board, GG Food Services Inc. This dynamic team works hard to provide nutritious meals for our students, ensuring they are well-fed and ready to take on the day. Their commitment to going above and beyond is greatly appreciated by students and staff alike.

Another unique aspect of our school is our social media team, led by teachers Haley Tozer and Veronique Baisley. They manage our school’s social media presence on Facebook and coordinate our in-house morning announcements on YouTube. These efforts celebrate our students’ achievements and keep families informed about all the exciting things happening at GGS.
